RiverFest is an annual fun & relaxing paddle down the Black River hosted by Adirondacks Tug Hill. Bring your people, or hit the water solo! Whether you’re a newcomer or you join us each year, don’t miss out on this year’s adventure!
This year’s route runs from Lyons Falls to Glenfield. Are you ready for the fun? Join us on Saturday, July 29 for a paddle down the Black River and mid-point food & fun!
The Important Stuff
- Registration @ the Lyons Falls Boat Launch | 8AM – 10AM
- Each paddler must complete and sign a waiver prior to participating. These will be available at registration on Saturday morning!
- Please note that paddlers that do not reach the midpoint by 11:30AM will be asked to depart early!
- Mid-point Festivities @ Burdick’s Crossing | 10AM – 1PM
- Featuring:

- Serving as early as 9AM!

- Stop by the Tug Hill Outfitters stand at the mid-point to check out some kayaking goodness!

- We know that floaters are cool too, but we ask that RiverFest be a paddler-focused event. With this, we ask that those that have not reached the midpoint by 11:30AM depart there.
- Transportation
- With the help of our friends at Lewis County Public Transportation, we’ll have a shuttle available from 7AM – 10AM to drop your vehicle off at the end of the route and take you to your boat at the start. Please note:
- The shuttle will not be available if you are asked to depart the river at the mid-point.
- The shuttle will not transport any kayaks.

Registration
Registration for RiverFest 2023 is now closed. We will be accepting day-of registrations from 8am-10am at the Lyons Falls Boat Launch on July 28, 2023. If this form is live after August 1, 2023 it is to accept payment from attendees, not to accept registrations for RiverFest 2024.
