North Star Orchards – Westmoreland, NY (borderline Oneida/Lewis)

A fall favorite for a reason. With dozens of apple varieties, this orchard offers U-pick and a large farm market stocked with fresh cider, donuts, pies, and other seasonal goodies. They also have a fantastic pumpkin patch and hayrides on weekends. U-Pick Apples Start Sat. Sept. 27th!

Maple Ridge Center Farmstand – Lowville, NY

While not a U-pick orchard, this sweet little stand often carries fresh local apples in-season—along with maple products, baked goods, and fall produce. A great stop on your way home from Whetstone Gulf or Tug Hill Vineyards.

Jefferson County

Burrville Cider Mill – Watertown, NY

This one’s a must. Operating since the 1800s, Burrville isn’t just an apple stop—it’s an experience. Come for the hot cider and donuts, stay for the working water-powered mill and cozy fall market vibes. While not a U-pick location, the cider here is unbeatable.

What to try:

  • Fresh cider donuts (still warm!)
  • Apple cider slushies
  • Jams, maple syrup, and gift items

Oswego County

Ontario Orchards – Oswego, NY

One of the largest and most beloved U-pick spots in the region. Ontario Orchards grows over 30 varieties of apples, and the market is packed with everything from cider to fall décor to fresh-baked pies.

Behling Orchards – Mexico, NY

Another excellent family-friendly option with corn mazes, tractor rides, and dozens of apple varieties to choose from. Grab some kettle corn and enjoy the fall festivities.

Oneida County

Windy Hill Orchard & Farm Market – Cassville, NY

A scenic gem offering U-pick apples, a quaint farm market, and—yes—those glorious cider donuts. Open weekends in the fall with rotating apple varieties available to pick.

North Star Orchards (again!) – Technically in Oneida County, and worth a double mention for its sheer size and selection.
