Mental Wellbeing and Coping

April 29th

Jefferson Community College (JCC) Voices for Social Change is holding two forums, virtually, in April that will focus on mental health and wellbeing. Understanding the Stigma of Mental Illness will be held on April 15 and Mental Wellbeing and Coping will be held on April 29. Both forums, open to the public with free admission, begin at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom. Pre-registration is required.

This public forum aims to empower people to look at their own mental health well being and take advantage of resources when experiencing negative emotions. Healthy coping skills and self-care strategies will be shared. A panel of local professionals will lead a discussion on how to identity warning signs of self-harm and how to access available mental health services.
