How can we, as communities, address the crisis of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and their long term impact on public health? How can we understand and prevent trauma in children, families and communities? How do we invest in protective systems that help families and communities heal?
Adverse Childhood Experience (ACEs) Training: Adverse Childhood Experiences are traumatic experiences that occur in children such as experiencing violence, neglect, abuse, witnessing violence in the home or having a family member die or attempt suicide. Adverse Childhood Experiences have a tremendous impact on future violence victimization and lifelong health opportunities.
