Environmental Expeditions Teen Adventure Camp! July 18-23: Six days and five nights! Teens will learn survival skills like orienteering, shelter building, fire building, and foraging for wild edible plants! At the end of the week teens will test their skills while competing in a 4-H survivalist challenge! In addition to the adventure programming, teens will also get to participate in traditional camp programming like swimming and kayaking. Campers will also get to enjoy two 4-H Camp Wabasso campfires and one overnight tent camping trip!
*This camp takes place at 4-H Camp Wabasso in Redwood, New York.
Families must register online, pay the refundable deposit and provide the eligibility information to reserve their camper’s spot.

The following Military Teen Adventure Camps are the result of a partnership funded by the Department of Defense between the Office of Military Community and Family Policy and the USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture through a grant/cooperative agreement with Purdue University.
The three Military Teen Adventure Camps are open to all military teens ages 14-18. Each camp is free and requires a $50 refundable deposit.
To prove eligibility for these camps, families must provide a copy of the front of the parent’s military ID, or a letter on official letterhead from their First Sergeant, Platoon Leader, or Company Commander stating that they are in the military.
Families must register online, pay the refundable deposit and provide the eligibility information to reserve their camper’s spot.
Travel expenses, including mileage to and from camp, will be reimbursed up to $250 per camper. Meals during travel will also be reimbursed based on the GSA rates for Watertown, NY. Receipts will be required for reimbursement.
Due to COVID-19 guidelines, these camps are only open to youth from the following states: New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont. In addition, someone authorized to pick up campers must be available at all times during their camp session(s) in the event campers exhibit COVID-19 symptoms.
