Railway Historical Society of Northern New York

For about a century, the railroad was a part of not only economic growth and stability, but a window on the world. As old tracks and rail facilities are used less and less in many rural areas, volunteers get together and ensure they do not fade from memory. That’s what happened in Croghan, New York, as the members of the Railroad Historical Society of Northern New York (RHSNNY) have converted the old train depot in Croghan, NY into a museum teeming with artifacts of life in the old days. The Croghan Depot once served the Lowville-Beaver River Railway (L&BRR).
